The Kaïla Sisters group was born from a dream, that of reviving Hawaiian music from the beginning of the 20th century. With the ukulele and the lap steel whose timbres immediately evoke the Pacific islands, the quartet also takes the paths of the Blues and, with the presence of the mandolin, adds an original folk note for stopovers in New Orleans land. Through the texts and lyrics of the hits of the time, it is the very contrasting layers of American society that appear, from Sunset Beach to 46th Avenue, the upper middle class on vacation in Hawaii and the unemployed at the end of their rope form the kaleidoscope of this music, like so many small fragments of a larger human fresco. UKE@ est un duo formé par Adrien Janiak au ukulélé ténor et Charly Baruz au ukulélé basse. Le ukulélé est un instrument traditionnel d’Hawaï. Blues-folk-swing trio composed of Hélène Pagliari on double bass, Elie Coquard on harmonicas and Yan Yalego on ukulele, vocals and foot percussion. The repertoire oscillates between traditional Blues, Folk, Swing and original Rock'n'Roll, interspersed with a few rather offbeat covers of more well-known standards. The trio draws most of its references from the New Orleans musical melting pot.
